Science: 1st-4th:

It is good to be back in science. I love the exploration and learning about God through His creation. We’ve spent this week just practicing our procedures and use of equipment. Next week we will be starting our Magnet and Electricity unit. Just a note for new families: we have a very hands-on science program here at St. Peter’s. Your student will rarely have homework. In the Friday notes, I will share what we have done and give suggestions for things you can do at home to further understanding of our concepts. Students keep all their work in a portfolio that goes home at the end of the unit. This will not only include their work, but ideas for home exploration and background information for you and your family. Due to feedback from last year, I will include the day they are going home. Evidently some students were not taking their portfolios home. I’m looking forward to a great year!
